Content Summit Awards

Privacy policy

Your submission is confidential. Here’s how we protect it.

We understand that entering an industry award often involves sharing sensitive commercial information, such as client names, campaign budgets, strategy, and results that your agency may rightly regard as confidential.

Content Summit and its extended awards program are owned and produced by The Content Division, a Brisbane-based content marketing and production agency. We recognise that this creates a legitimate concern for other agencies considering entering.

We have built the awards process to eliminate that conflict. The section below explains exactly how.

Our four commitments to every entrant

1.  Judging is 100% independent

All entries are assessed by an independent judging panel made up of senior industry practitioners, brand-side marketers and subject matter experts. Judges are selected for their expertise and have no affiliation with The Content Division. Every judge signs a formal conflict of interest and confidentiality agreement before reviewing any submissions.

2.  The Content Division’s oversight of entries is limited to validity only

Applications are received and managed by a dedicated team member. No one else in our team has access to submitted entries at any point in the judging process. Our role is to fund, host and celebrate the awards. Assessment of entries is entirely outside our hands.

3.  Your information is not shared beyond the judging panel

Submission content, including client details, budgets, strategies and results, is used solely for the purpose of judging. It is never shared with third parties, used for commercial purposes, or disclosed publicly without your explicit written consent.

4.  Entries are deleted after judging

All submission materials are securely deleted or destroyed following the completion of judging. Winning entries will only be published in the form and to the extent agreed with the entrant at the time of notification.

The independent judging panel

Content Summit Awards judges are drawn from across the industry, including senior client-side marketers, independent strategists and respected practitioners. None of them are employees, contractors or directors of The Content Division.

Before reviewing any submissions, all judges must:

  • Declare any professional or commercial relationship with an entrant
  • Recuse themselves from scoring any entry where a real or perceived conflict exists
  • Sign a confidentiality agreement covering all submission materials
  • Agree not to use, reproduce, or reference submission content outside the judging process

Why we run these awards, and why integrity matters to us

Content Summit Awards was founded to raise the standard of content and brand marketing in Australia. The awards exist to recognise the best work being done across the industry.

We are committed to running a process that is genuinely fair, transparent and trustworthy for all entrants, including agencies who compete with us directly. If we get that wrong, the awards mean nothing.

Data handling and retention

What we collect

When you submit an awards entry, we collect the information you provide in your submission form, including project details, client information (where provided), campaign metrics and supporting materials.

How it is used

Your submission data is used solely for the purpose of judging your entry in the relevant category. It is not used for marketing, business development, competitive intelligence or any other purpose by The Content Division or Content Summit.

Who has access

Access to submission materials is restricted to:

  • The awards administrator
  • The relevant category judges (limited to entries in their assigned category)

No other individuals have access to submission content.

Retention and deletion

All submission materials, including digital files, supporting documents and judge scoring notes, are securely deleted within 30 days of the announcement of results.

Winning entries are retained only in the agreed published form (e.g. case study summary, award citation) as approved in writing by the entrant.

Frequently asked questions

What if a judge knows our agency or client?

All judges are required to declare any professional relationship with an entrant before the judging process begins. If a conflict is identified, that judge is recused from scoring the relevant entry. A replacement judge will assess it instead.

Will our work be shown at the event?

No work will be featured or referenced publicly without your explicit written consent. Winning entries may be celebrated at the awards event and in Content Summit communications, but only with your approval and in the form you agree to.

Can we request confirmation of these arrangements in writing?

Yes. Please contact hello@contentsummitaustralia.com.au to request a copy of the judging independence and confidentiality framework, including the judge agreement template.
