There’s no shortage of good ideas in marketing. But after a decade spent building consumer brands and the teams behind them, Zhoe Low knows the idea is only the beginning.
“Ideas are great but execution is everything,” she says. “At Content Summit, I’m looking forward to sharing more about how the foundations of high-performing teams are essential for creativity and high-performing content to happen.”
Zhoe knows a thing or two about building those foundations.

She was the first marketing hire at Australian luggage brand July, joining shortly after its launch in 2019 and building its marketing function from the beginning. As the business grew, so did her remit, eventually spanning broader commercial and general management responsibilities across retail and marketing.
Along the way, she helped take July from Australian start-up to globally recognised consumer brand, leading growth across DTC, retail and wholesale and international expansion into the US, UK and Asia.
She later led global marketing at MoveActive and today works as a Fractional CMO, helping businesses put brand at the centre of their growth, expand internationally and reach new customer segments.
At Content Summit 2027, Zhoe will draw on that experience to get into the less glamorous but essential work that allows great marketing to happen: building teams, systems and ways of working that help good ideas actually make it out into the world.
And her advice for marketers is refreshingly straightforward.
“Good foundations are often overcomplicated,” she says, “and a good system is only good if people use it.”
When she’s not thinking about how marketing teams work, Zhoe has also found herself playing a game that’s becoming all too familiar to plenty of marketers.
“I’m really enjoying testing myself to see if I can tell if a human made it or if it was AI,” she laughs.
As for the human-made stuff catching her attention? She points to Australian homewares brand Hommey.
“I’m loving what’s coming out from the Hommey team lately. It’s really content that’s fit for channel, and they don’t take themselves too seriously.”
