First wave of speakers announced for Content Summit 2027

August 18, 2026

The first names are in, and Content Summit 2027 is already shaping up to be a big one.

On 9-10 March, more than 800 marketers, strategists and creatives will return to Brisbane Powerhouse for two days of keynotes and conversations about what makes content work.

And now we can finally reveal the first wave of speakers taking the stage.

Our first speaker drop brings together global brand leaders, founders, creators and strategists working across some of the biggest questions in marketing right now: how brands grow, how they earn attention, and what actually makes marketing effective.

James Hurman

James Hurman literally wrote the book on marketing effectiveness. Twice. One of the world’s best-known experts on what makes marketing and advertising work, James has more than 50 effectiveness awards to his name and has led major research projects for Cannes Lions, WARC and the LinkedIn B2B Institute. He’s also a co-founder of Tracksuit, an advisor to major global brands through LIONS Advisory and the Programme Director of the Master of Advertising Effectiveness.

Nathalia Amadeu is Global Brand Director for Vaseline at Unilever, where she leads the brand’s global creative agenda and has helped set a new benchmark for advertising built for the social era. Under her leadership, Vaseline has become one of the world’s most awarded brands, with work designed to earn attention, shape culture and drive growth. Her portfolio includes Vaseline Verified, named Ad Age’s Social Campaign of the Year 2026.

Zhoe Low knows a thing or two about building a brand that travels. She built the marketing function at Australian luggage brand July from day one, helping scale the business across DTC, retail and wholesale and into the US, UK and Asia. Since then, she’s continued working with fast-growing consumer brands, including leading global marketing at MoveActive and now advising businesses as a Fractional CMO.

Sam Koslowski has helped build The Daily Aus into Australia’s largest youth news publication, reaching 2.8 million young Australians a month across social, podcasts and newsletters. Through TDA’s ongoing daily polling, he also brings a rare, evidence-based view of what younger audiences care about and what earns their attention.

Maddie King has a magic touch when it comes to building brands people pay attention to. She was the first marketing hire and Marketing Lead at MagicBrief, helping grow the start-up through to its $20m+ acquisition by Canva in 2025. Now a Product Marketing Manager at Canva, she’s also a LinkedIn creator, creative consultant and B&T’s 2026 Rising Star and Woman of the Year in Tech.

Lachlan and Austin Macfarlane started making films together in primary school. Since then, the Brisbane brothers have represented Australia at Cannes, worked with some of the biggest brands in the world and racked up hundreds of millions of views. Known for combining comedy, action and stunning visual effects, the VFX/CGI directors have worked with Google, Warner Bros, Sony Pictures and Amazon Prime and contributed to post-production on 10 feature films. Not bad for a couple of boys from Brisbane.

Also announced in the first speaker drop are:

  • David Coupland, Co-Founder and Strategy Director, Born
  • Shrey Khetarpal, Head of Consulting, VaynerMedia Asia Pacific
  • Zach Mander, Creator and Radio Announcer
  • Alice Harris, Marketing Lead, On The House
  • Danielle Zikman, Director of Marketing, LinkedIn Talent Solutions APAC

And there’s plenty more to come.

More speakers will be announced in the months ahead, with the full Content Summit 2027 program landing in November.

They’ll all come together at Brisbane Powerhouse on 9-10 March 2027 for two days of keynotes and practical sessions about what’s working across brand, social, digital and content marketing.

And in 2027, there’s even more happening around the main event. The inaugural Content Summit Awards will be presented on 10 March, recognising outstanding work from brands, agencies, in-house teams, individual practitioners and creators. Entries open on 1 September, with the Awards presentation and official afterparty included with every full Content Summit ticket.

Early bird tickets are on sale now until 31 December 2026, unless sold out earlier.
