Content Summit is adding a new national awards program in 2027, recognising outstanding work across Australia’s content marketing and social media industry.
The inaugural Content Summit Awards will celebrate brands, agencies, in-house teams, individual practitioners and creators across 18 categories, with winners announced at Brisbane Powerhouse on Wednesday 10 March 2027.
Since day one, Content Summit has brought Australia’s content marketing and social media community together to share ideas, learn from people doing great work and celebrate the craft.
Now, we’re taking that celebration a step further.
Launching in Content Summit’s fifth year, the awards are a natural extension of the event’s focus on advancing the craft and impact of content.
“The awards give us an opportunity to recognise that work formally and celebrate the people behind it,” says Content Summit founder and The Content Division Managing Director Brittanie English.
The program reflects the breadth of the industry, from a single post that captures an audience’s attention to a long-term strategy that changes behaviour or delivers a meaningful commercial result.
“Great content is being produced by agencies, brands, internal teams, individual practitioners and creators, often in very different environments and with very different resources,” Brittanie says.
Whatever great work looks like in your world, there’s a category for it.
Find your category
The Content Summit Awards are divided into two tracks.
The Brand and Agency Track recognises content developed to educate audiences, change behaviour, drive commerce and build communities, alongside awards for agencies, teams and individual practitioners.
The categories are:
- Best Educational Content
- Best Behaviour Change Content
- Best Commerce Content
- Best Community Building
- Best Employee-Generated Content
- Best Creator Partnership
- Best Content Agency
- Best Influencer Agency
- Best Social Agency
- Best In-House Team
- Content Marketer of the Year
- Social Media Manager of the Year
- Creator Track
The Creator Track celebrates creators producing outstanding educational and entertainment content, brand partnerships and individual posts.
Supported and presented by Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, the track includes:
- Creator of the Year – Education
- Creator of the Year – Entertainment
- Best Brand Partnership
- Post of the Year
- Best Brisbane Storyteller
- Best Emerging Creator
Best Brisbane Storyteller will recognise a Brisbane-based creator who has built a body of work celebrating, documenting or championing the city’s people, places and stories.
“As Brisbane prepares to welcome the world in 2032, local creators will play an even bigger role telling our city’s story in their own authentic way,” Cr Schrinner says.
“Supporting the Creator Track of the Content Summit Awards is an opportunity to recognise that contribution and encourage more local creators to tell Brisbane stories in their own voices.”
All Creator Track categories are free to enter.
Big ideas beat big budgets
The Content Summit Awards have been designed to recognise strong thinking and effective work, regardless of audience size, budget or the size of the entrant.
“We don’t want these awards to become a contest of who has the largest audience, budget or organisation,” Brittanie says.
Every entry will be assessed by an independent panel of senior industry practitioners against criteria tailored to its category.
Campaign and content entries will generally be judged on the strength of the objective, execution and outcomes. Agency, team and individual categories will consider creative and strategic excellence, impact, innovation and industry leadership.
“That means an emerging creator, a small in-house team or an independent agency can compete on the strength of their work,” Brittanie says.
And the winner is…
Winners will be announced in front of hundreds of industry professionals at Brisbane Powerhouse on Wednesday 10 March 2027, followed by the official Content Summit afterparty.
Entries open on 1 September 2026 for work published or active between 1 December 2025 and 30 November 2026.
For now, you can explore the categories, find the right fit for your work and start thinking about what you’ll enter.
